I LOVE how this Ilmberger Buell Carbon Fiber Swingarm Fill Panel looks! I dig how it gives the swing arm right side the solid look, symetrical to the left side (with the oil resevour), while adding virtually no weight because it is carbon fiber. I got mine from Sierra Motorcycle Supply for $187.00. They are very high quality made in Germany by Ilmberger. Due to my business connections, I contacted Ilmberger and was able to import a lot of these to share with my Buell brothers. I thought is was such a different and unique mod to make your bike stand out from all the others. I am able to sell these for my cost, which is $100 + shipping. PM me if you want one. I accept PayPal. Here are some photos:

...and of course here you can see how the swing arm looked before installing the fill panel:

thats a great price for the best carbon money can buy

Thanks. Quoting Sierra Motorcycle Supply: "Ilmberger carbon fiber is TUV approved. What does a European standard mean to us here in the U.S.? It means that Ilmberger carbon fiber is the highest quality, and fits the best. Ilmberger is also the only carbon fiber manufacturer to use Kunststoffbeschichtet, or plastic-coating, on their parts. This finish is much more resistant to scratching than standard clear-coat finishes, and blocks the UV rays that can damage your carbon fiber over time."

I do know there are varying qualities of carbon fiber parts.

The Sierra Motorcycle Supply web site listing does not list this contraint about the panel, so I cannot attest to this claim either way. I can attest that mine is an '05 and it fits perfectly:

i'm not trying to dump on your thread, just trying to save you a big headache vtech007. no worries, sell away. Great looking part btw & awesome price[up]

Thank you. I understand. Yeah, I sure wouldn't want any one to get one and find out it doesn't fit their bike. So varifyable input on any XB's it won't fit is welcome.

Follow-up on Joel9, the peice will apparently fit the '05 and older XB swingarm design. Check your bike first before ordering - the swingarms are distinctly different - if your swingarm looks like mine you are good.

Here is further thought - the practical benefit of this panel is it substantially increases the enclosing of drive belt, therefore reducing the debris and moisture that reaches it and resulting potential damage and increased wear. Did you know that the Service Manual for the '05 XB12R has 10 (ten) ! entries under "Required Action" in Table 1-8 "Potential Limits to Belt Drive Service Life" of "Inspect for damaged / missing belt gaurds"? That's right - you guys not running your belt guards - might want to think about finding those belts gaurds, get 'em out, dust 'em off and put 'em back on your bike if you are interested increasing the service life of your drive belt, possibly saving you from being stranded who-knows-where with a premature broken belt. IT HAPPENS! AND - PM me get yourself one of these carbon fiber swing arm fill panels from me to further protect your expensive drive belt.
