Buell XB12 Airbox??

I took the airbox off of my 06 xb9r last night to put new sparkplugs in my bike. I noticed that the upper airbox has the nipple that goes above the rubber snorkel. It also has the inserts to bolt the muffler servo on. I thought that only the 12's were supposed to have the nipple...or was I wrong?

Did you buy your niner new or used? Or maybe this applies to earlier years than an 06?

I bought the bike new. This made me wonder if they started putting these lids on 9's later or if mine just has a 12 lid on it for some reason.
