I just recently bought a very nice XB9 city. I am impressed with the power. I am looking to get a little more out of the bike. Can someone share what all it takes to program the bike. It has Jardine exhaust and K&N filter. thats the only upgrades. A complete list and explanation would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Do you have a 'Race Ecm" ? It would be difficult to get one now for a specific year/model but that could help. Otherwise you'd
have to learn how to change the Ecm map which i wouldnt do myself. But lots of people do.
Ecmdroid and/or Ecmspy can be used to do that.

Maybe a dyno pro could do it also.
Sometimes its best not to muck around and cause unexpected problems. Dont ask how i know . :)

You can get a copy of ECMSpy and an interface cable and redo the fuel and ignition maps until your hearts content.

Get it right and you could make about 3-4 hp more. Get it wrong and well... it will get really expensive.

You can also send your ECM to IDS and they can reprogram it to be more suitable to your bike.

Erik Buell already squeezed all of the cheap HP out of these bikes from the factory. Not saying there isnt more left to be had, but its not going to be cheap or easy.

Fast, cheap, and easy - the slogan McDonald's ought to be using. Not so much for tuning these aging bikes.

$300 IDSpd.com

2 small bolts and 2 connectors.

If that's not fast enough, cheap, enough, or easy enough for you... you probably own a Buell:black_eyed:
