Have you considered swapping out for different footpegs? My previous bike was an SV650 (naked, not the S model). Even though it was a fairly upright standard and not a sportbike, my knees started killing me after a few hours on that near the end. I don't even want to think how bad it would have been on a supersport. Looking back I often wonder why I never bothered to simply change the footpegs for more leg room. (Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I ditched the SV and entered the world of Buells! :D ). But if it's just your knees that are hurting, then changing the footpegs to something with more allowance could greatly improve your comfort. You'd be surprised at how little of a change in geometry (or cycle ergonomics) may alleviate your pain. Then no need to sell your beautiful Lightning!

Thank you for the info, I didn't think about it, but my knee's are basically shot. I love the bike, love to ride it, sadly its one of the few things that puts a smile on my face, but I need the cash.

Sell a child instead.

You could get the Ulysses foot pegs and brake line drops the peg about 3 inches. If it remains yours that would be the thing to do.

Cycle pirates makes a kit for buell's that can move the pegs to like 30 different positions or something like that, under 100 bucks as well i believe. Sorry to hear you need to sell though, just know there are options to make it more comfortable.

I'll come buy it today, I live in Charleston sc, if you'll take $3250. Sorry for the lowball, but that's all the cash I have in Pocket. 843-224-8624. Thanks Wylie
