I have stock belt pulleys on my CR. Im looking to see what the smallest rear wheel belt pulley I can use is and what beltdrive will be needed. Is the front pulley on a CR the same for ALL the buells? Basically, Im looking for the smallest front pulley and smallest rear pulley for my CR and what beltdrive Im gonna need for 90% highway driving. Any help is greatly appreciated. ML

Im not sure if anyone knows if the 1125R and 1125CR use the same type of drivebelt pulley? I think the R is a 27t. Is this correct? Also I found a 65t rear drivebelt pulley for a xb9sx, anyone know if it will bolt up to a CR wheel, and if it could be used? Any tech advise is greatly appreciated. ML

The 65t pulley is designed to turn the opposite direction than a 1125 would turn. Dont know if that would matter??? The 1125R uses a 70t rear pulley with a 1/2 inch shorter swing arm. Same front pulley for 1125CR and R.

Oh, OK. Damn, I was hoping to swap-out a CR rear pulley and CR belt for an R pulley and belt, AND keep my 1125R belt I still have. Thats out the window, thanks alot bud.

Hmmm. Maybe the pulley tensioner could take up (or give up) the slack when going from the CR to R? The half-inch difference in swing arm length might be close enough to being perfectly offset by the 5-tooth difference...

It's been done before. I have seen guys make custom idler pulleys (bigger) to comp for the tension lose. I didn't have the skills to make one. I went the other way and did CR gearing on my R. I did the swingarm swap.

Oh,ok. Wow, I don't think I want to go through all that trouble. I was just hoping to get better fuel mileage on interstate. Im averaging around 33mpg now and its funny I see other bikes getting 50mpg+. [confused][mad]

With R gearing I got 35 mpg. It took a afternoon or 3 1/2 hours or so to change the swingarm and all associated parts. Not that big of a deal.

And belts can be made I don't see why you couldn't just a make a custom length belt for a smaller rear pulley keep the front the same. And ya any xb will be backwards cause there drive line is on the ride side not the left. But I don't know if that matters I wouldn't think it is. And at the wheels are interchange able between buell besides the TT and uly. So I know a xb pulley would mount
