can the gas tank on Ulysses rust on the inside

With my previous bike (KLR650) I made sure I always had the gas tank full if the bike wasn't going to be used for a while to make sure it doesn't rust on the inside. What about the Ulysses - with gas stored in the aluminum (it's aluminum, right?) frame is this necessary? Thanks!

it won't rust being that it is aluminum, but it can oxidize, which would cause a white/grey build up on the metal, that could make its way into the fuel, I personally always keep a full tank with stabilizer in it when being stored just incase.

Even without the gas being in a steel tank, it'll still start to turn to varnish after too long, so you'd want to put Stabil in it if you're leaving it for a while, but that wasn't your question.

No worries about the rust, but aluminum does have it's own problems as mentioned above.

I always put stabilizer during winter months, I was just wondering if I have to be anal about keeping the gas tank full. Thanks!

supposedly temp flucturations can cause water in gas. I don't worry bout it. I never top of my tank. But I don't have winter either.

If you experience fogging on bike's gauges or fairing parts, similar condensation, water intrusion, takes place inside its fuel tank & crankcase, too.
... even in California :p

I never worry about topping mine off on a regular basis. I fill up every 100 miles when I'm riding. I'll be sure to keep it filled up at the end of every ride now that the temps are going down and I don't know how often I'll get out.
