Buell 2000 S3 (Thunderbolt).
I checked the Buell manual, I've googled, I've YouTube'd, and can't find any details on removing the front brake caliper. I removed the two bolts holding the caliper but can't remove it away and off from the rotor, There is just no room enough for it to clear the rim and rotor.
Hate to have to remove the bolts holding the caliper halves, but that's the next thing I'll try if no one can give me a good way to do this.
All the videos and demos on the net, are for the XB;s but no one shows it for the S3

I'm sure there is some easy way to do this, can't imagine the Buell designers made it THAT hard but this is my first tube-frame and I just can't figure it out.

Yup and those bolts have loctite on them. Do yourself a favor and put some heat directly on the bolt heads before your strip them out.

You can remove the caliper without removing the rotor. I have done it several times, on my '99 S3. You have already removed the pads, right?

If your just changing the pads the rotor and the caliper can stay on the bike the pads come out through the top of the caliper if i remember right.

Yep, changing pads doesn't get much easier; and when the pads are out, be patient, don't force it, and when you get the angle just right, the caliper will lift right off.

Pads out it should go. I have heard about people notching the calipers barely to make it easier as well. Sure beats unbolting the rotor, the pads slip right out after removing the pin. Don't forget to lube the pin with disc brake lube when re installing.
