CATCH CAN/ OPEN AIRBOX MOD HELP

Hi guys! I've searched through mutliple threads about the catch can and the open airbox mods, however I haven't found an answer to a couple questions I have about these mods. I'd really like to do them in the very near future.

My questions are (keep in mind, my Scg is 100% stock):

With an open airbox mod, would I need any kind of tune? Will it throw a CEL? What do I have to do with the components on top of the airbox (servo I think)?

I'd really like some input on this, because these are two mods that I can do relatively cheap but are effective. Thanks!

You can disable it using ECM spy.

in '09 the airbox had the cuts in it. Are you looking to remove it altogether except for the top where it covers the air cleaner?

What's your question on the catch can?[confused]

Just looking to remove it all together and clean it up! I'm going to do these two mods at the same time, I have everything for the catch can, just had the questions about the open airbox!

50, I meant remove it as in keeping just the top part that holds the filter.
