I had a charging issue and when I got my 1125 back from the Buell dealer after a new ECU, the bike pops a CEL with a P1047 code...F/R AFS sys fault...what ever that is. I took it back to Buell dealer, they kept it 2 weeks burned a tank of gas out of it and say it is good to go. CEL still comes and goes at random...anybody out there have access to HD/Buell technmical pubs? My local dealer (2 1/2 hrs away) can't figure out what is wrong. They want me to bring it back so they can "get another whack at it"... PLEASE HELP!!!!!

DTC: P1047
PRIORITY ORDER: 52
FAULT CONDITION: FEEDBACK FUEL CYLINDER TOO GREAT
DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE: 6.22 OXYGEN (O2) SENSOR: DTC P0131, P0132, P0134, P0151, P0152, P0154, P0147

That's straight from the manual bud.

1125rguy...Good lookin out!...sure is a shame that you dont work at Adamec H/D Buell in Jacksonville, FL! I'll pass that on to Adamec H/D Buell service dept.
Thanks,
Tank

also comes up with:

-fuel injectors
-intake leak
-exhaust leak
-O2 sensor front/rear

Tank, look at your AFV's. If the spread between the front and rear is too great (25 is the number I think) then it will throw that. Just about _any_ aftermarket exhaust will cause it if you don't tune it properly. If you've got something like 110 on the front and 85 on the rear, it will throw the code. Even if it's a spread of 20, that might be enough because it's adjusting all the time and could be right on the border of tripping the codes.

If this is the case, it's a self-induced problem. Either tune it or get a race ecm to put in it.

I know the 08's had a faulty cluster that pops a CEL every once in a while. usually when the bike isnt warmed up yet. mine actually threw a CEL and a Low Fuel light on occasion when the tank was full.

I went this route. I absolutely had to know exactly what the engine was doing when I started building systems for other people. This setup ran about $600 for the parts, I installed it, took maybe 2 hours. Yes, there are 2 sensors on it, I didn't take a pic of the rear one though, it's too hard to get to with a camera.
