heres some pics of a few i have chopped. im getting ready to do one for mine and it will look similar. i like the look of the two toned one above and if i find a color i like that will work good with my 09's hero blue transparent colors i'll do that too.

Mine's cut pretty much like stang65pony's except I made a little cut out for the brake light to shine down on the plate (the same way firebolts do). I also drilled holes on either side to remount the stock turn signals.

These are the best pics I could find...

Thats how mine is as well, not to many other lines to follow and have it come out right. The way these are cut,the line flows from the seat rails to the taillight.

Hi Andymnelson,

More pics of your wife's XB9S would be highly appreciated.
Very beautiful colour combination (White & Blue) [up]. One time I had such an idea in my head "how would it look like" 'cause I saw somthing similar on S1 Lightning. Reminds me first Shelby GT 350 Mustangs from '60-s.

Thanks for pics.

(TooFst, sorry for threadjacking)

I found this out poking around.
try this:
http://www.hillbilly-motors.com/xb_portal.html
Then on your right there is a link called
xb.pdf Tailconversion.
click on it and down load the pdf.
after you open it, it will be in German.
The pictures tell you exactly how and what to do.
It is really simple to do. Hope this helps

Only when it rains really. Every once and a while I'll find a small stone on the seat but in dry weather it's not really a problem. I'd add that even with the grater on there you still get a pretty wicked roost off of the rear tire.

Dirt - never.
Water - anytime its raining...but if it's raining my back's not the only thing wet.

for my license plate light, i mounted the plate to the undertray using led bolt lights i got from cyclegear. work good and look good. for turn signals i made my own integrated led tail light. clean.............

as for stuff flying up, yeah i'll get tiny pebbles on my seat i notice when i get off the bike. and sometimes i'll have to sand and re-paint the tail piece cuz of little chips from those tiny pebbles. i plan to either have it powdercoated or get some of the 3m paint protecting clear vinyl sheet stuff and put it on the bottom the best i can. i have a few to chop so we'll see

some people run an integrated tail light. meaning half the tail blinks depending on the direction that is signaled. if that makes sense lol. that would explain the lack of physical turn signals.

Mines looked like this for about two yrs. now. I'm pretty happy with it but want to get it just right before she goes to the powder coater. Thx for all the ideas guys.
