Anyone here replace the rivets with bolts. I know they must sell a kit but figured I'd see what people here are doing first. Size of bolts would be good if anyone can help. Thanks -Arthur-

I knew someone who drilled out the rivets and just replaced them with small bolts. It actually looked a little cleaner than the rivets. He just went to home depot and picked some up though.

The cleanest look is the cheapest and simplest.

Drill out the holes to the needed size and just use plastic push clips for car panels. Cost about 45¢ total and no hassling with wrenches and you don't even need to take the chin fairing off I'd you don't want to [up]

I just got some stainless steel hex cap screws, 8-32 (I think), some washers and nylon lock nuts. I think it turned out pretty sharp. It only cost me a couple of bucks.

Just make sure they are a metal that won't rust.

My dad works in a body shop so he replaced mine with some aluminum rivets that were black. Looks real good but you would need a large rivet gun to install them. Not something that most people have laying around in their garage.
