I broke the crappy little wire clutch cable holder when replacing my clutch cable. Heard bad things about them breaking and then frying cables on the header. Soooo, I made a sturdier bracket from angle aluminum. Used leftover hose from my breather mod to protect the clutch cable where it goes through the bracket. The hose is slit lengthwise and then wrapped around the cable. Wire ties on either side of the bracket stop the protective hose from sliding. The hole in the aluminum for the cable is a bit less than 3/4" diameter. You need to disconnect the cable from the lever to do this.
