As u know the clutch cable goes down the front of the bike under the chin. Right by the header outlet there is a rubber accordion cover over the cable. It's held off the hot bits with a wire hanger right there. Well... Mine broke? Alouing that rubber accordion section to melt against the header. No big deal, I tucked on the other side. However next morning I checked it out and there was a little liquid seeping from that section? Is it oil filled here and do I need to get a whole new cable? also, what does that change entail? Thanks anyone with enough stamina to read the whole thing.

Thanks!
Was rounding this up to help

what kona said and you'll obviously want to replace the wire "stay" that is broken. also follow your cable down to where it passes to the left side between lower cowling and muffler. the clutch cable often times rubs on the cowling at that spot as well. some black electrical tape wrapped around the rubbed area on the cable works well.
