so my clutch on my 04 xb12r is starting to slip it is most noticeable at speeds over 100. then I'll roll on hard and rpms go up and i don't go any wear. so my question to y'all is where can i find a new clutch. and what is the best clutch? do they make a race clutch or a super grippy one? and lastly and i do it myself, I'm sure i could I'm good with tools and such, but would i want to is the real question and if so do you have any tips? thanks guys.

Have you already tried correctly adjusting all three clutch adjustments per the Service Manual?

What I hear some of the synth oils can cause some slipping.
NOT making a recommendation - lots smarter guys on the board here than me - but here is a post you might want to check out. Oil Clutch Slipping discussion

Yeah, I don't know about that at all. One or two people claiming it. Doubtful, IMHO. Drag and track my XB, using AMSOIL both holes, no slipping at all.

First thing first, when was the last time you performed primary maintenance (fluid change, clutch adjustment?). I'd recommend doing all of that first, adjusting per the specs in the book.

If that doesn't improve, then we can move on to other options!

thanks for the info. just downloaded the pdf and read up on it. will do the adjustment when i get home today. then i will re-post the results

What oil are you running? I used regular syn.car oil and mine slipped changed to the correct oil and it stopped slipping.

OK so i adjusted my cluck per the manual, and my clutch is no longer slipping from what i can tell thank you all very much for your input.
