Thank you for confirming the orientation. This is the first time I’ve heard or come across this improvement. The questions / hypothesis is because in 45 years of mechanical engineering experience I’ve never seen, heard or handled an off-set ball bearing and I always appreciate your valued input. I was confirming that there are two types of ball bearing retaining cages which wasn’t covered in Pushrods well considered description, one plastic and the other metal which I considered useful information to share. Importantly I nearly had one of these bearings let go, literally on a 280 Km ride from well adjusted, no noise functioning clutch to rattling and requiring adjustment at around 240 or so Km on a 24,000 Km well serviced odometer bike. Upon inspection after the ride I was gobsmacked that the balls were still “just” retained. Hence the paranoia when you consider the predicable disastrous outcome. Again thank you.
