New to me '09 CR with 1100 miles just started the weep problem. Bike is still under warranty for a couple more weeks, but wondering what the fix is and does it last? Is there a better fix than what local HD dealership will do? Just for my own info; why is there a weep hole in the first place?

Join the club lol. Get it fixed under warranty. The fix is some improved seals. Mine hasn't leaked since the warranty fix (~2500 miles). Some one on the other forum was selling a kit they had developed to fix it. The puck (with the weep hole) is just pressed on and is just a dust cover of sorts.
. There is a thread some where about the clutch seal fix, about A cover , B cover and C cover,, I think puzzle knows about it. [smirk]

Get it fixed under warranty. Will it last? probably not. You have a 09 so you have the Rev B and will receive the Rev C when it gets repaired.
