Concerns lowering my Uly with Lightning Long suspension?

I'm considering lowering my '06 Uly. I like the styling of the Uly X but realistically something like the XT better suits my intended usage. Gravel roads are about the most "off road" my Uly is likely to see. I've got a DRZ 400 for the real dirty stuff.

I've got a project Lightning Long I'm trying to decide what to do with. I've considered swapping the LL suspension onto the Uly. It looks like the LL has about .6" less ground clearance than an XT, so it the Uly would sit slightly lower after the swap than even an XT.

One thing I don't want to do is mess up the handling. I really like the way the Uly handles and I trust Buell engineering when it comes to suspension design. I think the Uly X was just designed for more travel than I need. Buell also designed the LL, and this will basically be a LL with different bodywork after the swap so I don't think it would be too big of an issue.

I'm curious if there's any obvious problem I'm missing by making this swap.

The other option would be something like the HyperPro lowering kit, but I've got the LL parts on hand and they're already paid for.

You're staying within the Buell lego by matching the front and rear, use the LL triples if your X is the later style with the shuffled offsets for more turning radius as your LL forks won't be adapted to match, and you'll have proper Buell engineered geometry as the end result. (I don't think the 06 XB12X got the extra steering stop setup, did the X have larger OD forks though?)
