I am curious if anyone has connected the fuel vent hose directly to the barbed nipple on side of the throttle body on their xb9/12? What would that do to the bike? Maybe run richer as it gets hotter? Could there be any huge problems doing so? Could it pull a vacuum and suck fuel up the hose? I know the fuel tends to get damn hot inside the tank...I have even heard it bubbling and could visibly see the fumes with fuel dripping. Anyway, I was just curious...

Dont do it. System was not designed to run like that. Plus the 1st time you over fill the tank your pouring fuel straight into the motor

WHAATT!!! this sounds dangerous, I dont think this is accurate.

Happens to a lot of people...it's very faint, you gotta stick your ear right up to the tank. Try it out on a hot day right after a ride. It's fairly common from what I have read on it! I just don't think poeple actually realize it.

Which kind of answers your question: make sure the vent is clear and direct to atmo. No kinks and no blockages so that it actually vents like it is supposed to. And no, I have not noticed that on my 9R or my 1125R. I would fix it right away if I did.
