R has clipons. CR has 7/8 bars. Or clubmans if you choose to install them. Gearing is slightly different. It was the lightning / naked version of the 1125

 

[ATFIII]

The R is a faired version, the CR is the naked version. They are geared differently, and the R has a shorter wheelbase.
