I have a D&D exhaust and I want a baffle for it if anyone has used one. The damn thing is too loud. I got rid of the stock one like an idiot. I have been searching for one and no one seems to have one. Any help

I luckily held onto my stock, I just put it back on earlier this week. I'll definitely go back to the new exhaust eventually, but I needed a break. Check out Paniller's thread on homemade silencers. You can order the parts for about $15.

too LOUD are u crazy it sounds so mean i miss the sound alone just as much as i miss my bike! go loud or go home

I need to quiet mine down too even on an XB it's stupid loud. I love the sound and how staccato it is, but I am tired of my ears ringing even when I wear earplugs.
After shirt rides the world sounds dull, after long rides my ears actually hurt.
Jet engines have done enough damage to my hearing, I done need to add to it and be sporting a hearing aid at 30.

I don't see too many tough guys with hearing aids lol
I dont blame you guy and I have a Hawk cant imagine the D&D. Its ok for short rides but on a long trip I would actually like to enjoy the ride not hope til the ride ends so I can find some Advil!

Jon...you have a Hawk? I assume you have an XB then. I have been patiently waiting for the 1125 Hawk.

I toyed with getting the D&D on my 1125R after a guy on a harley pulled up next to me and put his hand behind his ear like he couldnt hear my bike (when it had stock exhaust)... A buddy has the D&D on his and that would have shut his ass up, but most of you are right, I dont think I could keep that level of noise all the time. if there was like a quiet button on it I would definitely enjoy it. I have the FMF on mine now, and it is loud, but definitely not annoyingly so.

the only thing i didnt like was if i hot roded it around town a cop could hear me a mile away literally. And i lived in a town of 25k and it was the only red 1 and the loudest thing in town so it wouldnt be hard 4 them to follow me home but it was just fun especially ridn w/ a bunch of hds they would all start reving it up untill i did then they would all just shake there heads. i would laugh and say thats only 6k

Your right 03Firebolt9R it's an xb but Randy has a test 1125 he has been experimenting on it for a while now, so it shouldn't be long. He told me it took him a while to perfect the xb exhaust. So hopefully soon man

Has anyone thought about an eletric cut out like the ones used on hot rods. Seems like it would be the perfect anwser for the quiet button.....lol. I know theres not alot of room under our bikes so it would be hard, but I would love to see someones attempt at a Quiet exhaust with a cut out in/on it for those stupid moments :D.

somthing like this, but smaller/narrower for our bikes.
