hi all. I just installed my d & d on my 09 xb12ss. I decided to use both the original rear clamps instead of the single that comes with the exhaust. You DO need to remove the front clamp housing and simply bolt the new pipe on instead. All the holes lined up well. The only issue I had was with the crappy clamp they send you to tighten the pipe to the header. I used the original there too that has a nice bolt instead of a hex head.

The pipe is really loud and looks great on the bike. As far as the servo cable I just zip tied it out of the way. I hope this is okay. I am assuming the bike will still push/pull this cable but its not hooked to anything so i guess it shouldnt matter should it?

I ran the bike at a steady RPM for about 10 minutes to learn the ecm on the highway and it seems to be running great and is definately turning heads. No check engine light and I dont need to reprogram the tps or ecm.

Hope this helps all!

Yeah I have the same pipe on my 09 12Ss, I used the 2 original clamps in the back as well, but I did use the header clamp that came with the pipe, although the OEM clamp was a bit beefier, I still have it just in case. Pipe is awesome though huh?!

beyond awesome although the drone of a steady speed will get to you! Super happy with it. I had to tighten the two oem rear brackets down so far that the screws almost hit the belt. I am considering cuttin them off a bit with a dremmel and tightening some more. Yeah, the original front clamp just seemed easier to get really tight than the allen head. What did you do with the servo cable?
