Moving back to TX in about a year and a half and am considering Dallas, SA or Houston. I lived in Austin back in the day but moving back there isn't an option currently.

Can anybody give me their thoughts on how the three compare to one another now-a-days (pros/cons)?

Any info/advice is appreciated...

i live in dallas, but i like SA better

dallas is pretty decent for younger people, SA just seems more laid back to me.

I live in Houston currently. It would be a flip between Houston and San Antonio. I would personally skip Dallas because its a long way from the water, and I do a lot of fishing.

Move to Austin. Then you can get to all cities within a few hours.

I'll probably end up back there eventually but I have to choose between Houston/Dallas/SA for work reasons at the moment. Thanks for the input everyone. Leaning towards Houston due to its proximity to the coast.

I have lived in SA, Ft. Worth. Born in Austin and currently live around Frisco area. Can't say a lot about Houston aside from visiting. I prefer N. Dallas over them all. Varying reasons for each.

Ugh! No offense to the Houston Buellers, but I have family in Houston and that city blows! That would be the bottom of the list for me. It so hot and muggy from the humidity, and the traffic there is about the worst I've seen. Brutal.

Haha... ok well maybe I'll do some more thinking... didn't think weather in Houston would be much different than Dallas.

I can't really speak much for Houston, however, I could understand liking the proximity to the coast.
I used to live on the south side of SA. As a whole, it was a pretty good place. Knew a lot of great people. It's pretty easy to navigate. Easy access to just about everything. And HEB. Although, you tend to be more aware of things happening around the border areas.
Currently I live in Dallas (Plano, specifically). So far so good. Whatever you need, it's not very far away. Also, not too hard to navigate. It's definitely feasible to live on the outskirts and still have access to the city stuff.

In either place you'll find the difference in social and economic status pretty easy to see, some places more so than others.

Ultimately, you can't go wrong because you'll be back in Texas. [up]

Plus side to that is you have a built in contraception in the buell.

You mean from a temperature standpoint or do Houston women not like Buells? ;o)

Also, I consider Chicago America's anus. Guess it just depends on perspective, right?

Yeah I like the area around Chicago. My family is from Joliet and Lockport.

No with the heat outside and temp from under the seat you will burn up all your swimmers. [smirk]
