[confused] Opened up the air box cover and saw the throttle cable is cut and not there, instead a little box that says do not turn by hand and a wiring harness attached to it. WTF??? WHAT DID THEY DO?? how is the bike still working fine? anyone knows WTF is going on??

Its not a throttle cable. Its an actuator motor for the interactive exhaust on the bike. The cable originally ran down to the muffler to turn a valve varying with the throttle. Do you have an aftermarket pipe on the bike?

I've heard of people cutting it and leaving it "open" so it would be louder. Some sales guy at Fresno CA HD and Buell said that. Um... Lame?

yea the cable is completely missing, yes it has a dual opening aluminum exhaust but no brands on it. and air filter is silver mesh color. what does that mean?

No servo in a Buell race can. If they did put a full race kit on (intake, exhaust, race ecm) they should've pulled the actuator assembly off.

Veeem, you could unplug the actuator harness and see if you get a check engine light. If you don't, you've probably got a Race ecm and you can yank that whole servo assbly. off. If you do get an engine light, you can use ECMSpy to turn off the checkbox so the ECM isn't looking for it and yank the assbly off. Or you could ride it....your decision.

Don't fix what's not broken.

If it's not causing you any trouble the just leave it alone...
