so, took the 03 XB9R out for a spin tonight, upon "Heavy" acceleration i let go of the throttle and it stuck open! then stalled out. I pulled over to the side and was unable to restart her. so i Pushed her home 3 miles to my house and immediately removed the air box cover to see what happened. and there it was. the 2 plugs i had in the lower cover for the "Breather Reroute" somehow un lodged from there home and into the Throttle body!!!! 2 small Plastic plugs got sucked right in!!!!!!! i'm am at such a loss right now and have no idea where to start! not a good start to riding season here in Pennsylvania!

thats why i used a solid piece of hose with each end pushed up from the bottom into each hole.

Also why you plug it from the outside-in ... not from the inside ... =\ that really sucks to hear man ... we got some real damage from this? ... or did they stop at the throttle body ??? .... (i'm really hoping to hear the latter)

I would start by removing the whole air box then the throttle body. Hopefully nothing went past the throttle body valve and into the cylinder.

Should be an easy fix assuming the throttle is just wedged open.

Well got one out so far. and i can see the other, they were floating around above the valves. NOT in the jug!!!

she LIVES!!!!! I Rotated the engine, removed the intake, and was able to slowly move the motor and releace the 2 pieces of plastic from the intake valves, quick compression check, and turned the key. and we have LIFE!!!!!!!! THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!! or JEBUS, OR WHOEVER YOU BELIEVE IN!
