hey if anyone has any good pics of a XB with the detachable saddlebags/trunk bag and or the tank bag on could you please post them here or show me a link or something!! just cant find a good pic anywhere!

I've ordered the trunk bag and the saddlebags. I'll post a pic once I receive and install them. I'm going to make my XB a sport-tourer... ha ha

Heres one of another members bike with the tailbag. (Love this color by the way)

that tail bag doesn't look half bad, and I'm getting sick of having to stuff everything in my jacket. Where can I get one?

It looks similar to the Buell tail bags offered on eBay (new) for about $68. The eBay URL was too long to post here so just do a search for "Buell bag".

awesome, thanks guys. yea that green looks awesome. I use my xb12ss for a tourer some trips and i'm looking to do a couple of weeks on it mid-year and will need to carry more than a backpack, the buell stuff looks pretty good i think.. i tried to buy some of the saddlebags off e-bayUS but the guy didnt want to post them to australia:( i want to put the lot on there haha, saddles, trunk and tank. for now the free buell backpack that came with the bike ties on pretty easy with the arm straps and waist band :p

i'm curious about the side bags myself. how exactly they install and how easy they are to take on/off
I tried the tail bag and it was useless. Will barely hold a folded up t-shirt. I can fit 10 times that in my backpack. currently thinking of going the tank bag route if nothing else.

I bought the Buell Saddle bags, and tail bag that clips to the saddlebags...and well, I consider my self somewhat mechanically inclined...but I couldn't get the saddle bags to fit. I made sure it was the model for the Scg...and well I'm stumped why the don't appear to fit right.

Here's a picture of what the Buell bags look like installed...and low and behold they don't fit. Seems the turn signal pockets were put in too high. I verified this is suppose to be for the Scg...and they are. Unfortunately it cost me 35 bucks to get them shipped to me, so it would cost another 35 bucks to ship them back...so basically I'm stuck with some bunk saddlebags...maybe with time they'll fit...but that's wishful thinking.

When the saddle bag is properly seated in the turn signal, there is no way this is suppose to fit on the XB12S and Scg. The instructions said it was for the S/Scg...but I find this hard to believe. You can't even connect the velcro straps to the other side because they are too short.

yea i see what you mean, and ive just taken the cheese grater off and made a bracket to hold the number plate and indicators and i think that the indicators would be right in the way now....[sad]

Yeah, I'm not exactly happy about this. I'd put them on Ebay...but if they don't fit my bike, they aren't going to fit anyone elses either. The only thing I can think of is to relocate the turn signals...who knows. Maybe I'll e-mail my pictures to Buell.

Well it sucks because I need sadle bags for this week end to go on a long trip and I was planning on buying the Buell ones.

Hmm i thought that'd be a problem, which is why I never took a chance. I have some stuff drawn up to make my own but until I get around to it, I'm using a small Cortech "tank" bag that seems to hold itself in place so far.

I just picked up mine today for my 12Ss. Haven't had a chance to fit them yet. They better fit or else back to the dealer they go.
