DIFFERENT HEADLIGHTS

I see in the manual that the XB12S is running H3 bulbs.... has anyone out there tried different H bulbs to see what he melting point is for the housing???
I have read on different posts that the heat produced from different bulbs has a tendancey to melt the housing.
Has anyone found the limit as i am looking for a brighter light.

XB12S is running H3 bulbs

XB12s = H7

XB12r = H3
