Hello. I was wondering if anyone has made their own airbox cover from scratch using the original as a mould? I have an XB12STT and am toying with having the white stock cover sprayed black but being in South Africa getting a replacement would be very expensive I'm worried that I'll being altering the only. I was thinking of using the existing to make a blank and then make a fibreglass version from that. Has anyone done something like? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

There is someone on here who has made his own... a modified from stock version, but I think the same thing you are wanting....looks like the airbox in this picture... maybe someone can chime in...Extremelow? (I got the picture from a thread you posted)

the one with the v shaped vents is from CJDesign(s). He made a few but has been really busy lately.

Thanks Flaya.... Buckslip, PM CJdesign on here and ask him how he did his. he may be able to help

The one I go was a fluke, he has like 4 more on EBay for sale but can't seem to get the second one I bought at the same time I bought the first one on Nov. 9th shipped to me [confused]

But yes it was done by a member. I might be putting mine up for sale, got a CF one instead. I was going to do a giveaway with the second one but kind of hard if I don't have it......

Finished look

thanks a lot i dont think i would want to build more in c.f it takes way to much time but fiberglass is much more simple and less time consuming to work with
