So, I would like to report that my two year long project ([mad]) is finally coming to a close! :D

The original setup was a twin ported setup which I scraped back when I was stationed in Virginia. In the last month and a half I've now constructed a complete open baffle (no enclosure) system. A 16.5" front baffle with a 5" extension for the midbasser and 11" extension for the 12" woofer so that I can still get those low frequencies. I've got a small 80Hz lowpass coming for the subwoofer now (it's currently crossed-over using my Sony receiver with no control over crossover freq) so that I can get a few annoying bits out of the woofer's range.

Components used:
12" Infinity Kappa Perfect DVQ woofer
8" Hi-Vi D8.8+ Midbass
5" Seas MCA15RCY Midrange
1" Seas 27TDFC Tweeter

Subwoofer Amp - Behringer Europower EP2000

Crossover design is from Madisound and actually works well - being that it was design for a sealed/ported system.

I'm going to be connected the left channel later on tonight. I've already had them playing together before during mock up, but they were not painted.

Just thought I'd share...

I've also painted some of the matte black plastics on my 12R :D

Left channel is hooked up and playing. The sound stage is nice and wide and yet vocals are very centered (if recorded on center). I am missing a good bit of the bottom end sub 35-35Hz, but that's due to the smallish baffle size. I might in the future decide to put in another Kappa Perfect 12 ported to 18Hz :D
