hey its been a while since i have been on here, but do the dealers check for frame straightness?? i would rather the insurance company total my bike than fix it so i can fix it myself and have money left over.

would the dealer want to fix it rather than total it cause they would make more money?? help would be greatly appreciated

If you have damage to the frame it will be replaced, simple as that. I just crashed my bike a couple weeks back, and as soon as the insurance adjuster seen frame damage he literally said "Totaled", but my bike is 2003. In your situation being a new bike they will replace the frame.

in most cases any damage to the frame or the swing arm is pretty much an automatic total out... any dents or deep scratches... stuff that don't make any difference will do it...

The Insuance co. will total it if it costs to much to fix. Not because the dealership tells them to total it.
