chafed wire and short to ground or broken o2 sensor.
my bet is the first one.
 
Now why would it always happen at 4k rpm. If it were a shorted wire wouldnt it happen randomly thru-out the rpm range?
 
All stock maps have been double checked and re burned, tps reset, still stalling. Could the tps itself be crapping out causing the ecm to do weird things... anyone?
 
That is a possibility... The TPS itself is just a potentiometer... It can have a dead spot along it's travel from full closed to full open.. TPS for these bikes aren't a lot of money if that's the case... And they are easy to test... Just hook a multimeter up to the output voltage and watch the voltage as you slowly open the throttle... You can even look at what the throttle was reading those very seconds to see a particular range to look at... Let's see whatcha find [up]
