drive belt tensioner

Hiya. I tried to fit a free spirits belt tensioner to a 2006 lightning long. It looks really well made, but found two probs.
1. The pulley wheel bolt is now too short (14mm wider at bolt).
2. The inner triangle arm touches the exhaust straps and bracket.
Anyone else come across this?

I didnt think these were compatible with the long frames (Ulysses, Long, STT, etc). Even the factory made a separate tensioner for the two frames.

Did they ever get the rash of failures figured out on those?
