So I was riding home from a doctors appointment on the 1125R last night, when about 3 blocks from my house I am about to turn left at an intersection and a car blows through a stop sign. I couldnt see it coming because the sides of the streets were lined with work trucks as there was a bunch of construction going on nearby. Right as I was about to turn I noticed the car going way too fast to stop before the intersection. I locked up the front brakes and the rear of the bike came up, but as I was already leaning for the turn, the bike came down on it's side and landed on my leg. I avoided the car, and neither the bike or I took too much damage (broken mirror and snapped airbox cover and a couple scratches on the fairing). The car kept going and didn't stop, didnt get a plate number either. I laid on the ground pinned under my bike while a guy accross the street sat and watched me. He didnt offer to help, just watched. I finally pushed the bike off of my leg and picked the bike up. I didnt see much damage and I wasnt hurt, just a bit pissed. I actually have another airbox at home, and a set of bar end mirrors I can use until my stock ones are replaced, but still pisses me off. That kinda crap makes me want to hunt the bastard down and beat him with a blunt object.
