Ok to kick this off my bike is a 04 XB12R with a Drummer SS exhaust, breather reroute, and Through frame snorkle delete.

I am running a stock ECM and have noticed on my last 2 plug changes that the plugs are just nasty black and I have also noticed that the inside of my exhaust tip is covered in a black and almost sticky residue.

To me this says Im running way rich.......Am I correct?

My question is if I am indeed way rich........can I go with just a highflow filter to help lean her back out some with out a remap. I am gaining more trust in myself to try the Ecm spy route but only with a spare Ecm....if its needed.

Hey Freak2180, The Hi Flow filter works really good on the older through the frame air intake. I have an 04 that i worked on last Fall in my shop, guys brother wrecked it. I changed the air to A/ K&N it got a couple of extra items done while in the shop here. Did you change the top air box cover to a newer front style intake? OR just removed the snorkel? How many Miles is on the Bike between tunes /w/type of plugs? Is the sticky more like oil? Or powder like? I haven't seen very many snorkel deletes. On those bikes. I have done a couple of conversions over the years. Took a little doing though. Now days seems people just can't afford too much, mostly basics & exactly whats broken or needed.Post up when you can and a Picture if you can will help.BTW have you done a TPS reset lately? Sorry for all the ??? but i'm a Tech/&can't help it. [smirk]
