I was wondering if anyone has any experience or opinions when it comes to a dyno tune or a ebr ecm i have a 09 12r with hawk k&n and breather reroute

EBR is a pre programed race map. Dyno tune will be a real world tune to the bike. All bikes are different, with that info its just a choice of which you want. Ur going to be happy with either!

I have tryed to dyno my bike with "direct link" and "tune boy". Niether worked. EBR does work but you wont have the ECM programed perfectly to your bike sence its a plug and play, but it does work good. That is unless you buy the programable one from EBR that cost i think $750. then you need dyno time. so plan on spending some cash if you do that. now to make this reply way to long, you can also use ecmspy.

Does anyone who has the ebr $250 ecm notice difference when riding and do they still have decel pop

I don't have any decel pop anymore. My bike has a jardine and the jardine specific ebr ECM. Before buying the ECM the bike was popping like crazy

I got the $250 EBR ecm on mine 09' XB12Ss with a drummer. Had a terrible time with major decel pop and running hot before the ecm - After I installed it, all the decel pop is gone!. Every once in awhile I might here a small pop, but that's it. Happy with my purchase. I looked at doing a direct link on a dyno at the dealer, but it was crazy expensive. I don't have the time to fiddle with re-calibrating maps and what not. Just want to ride - that's why I got the plug n play.

i literally just got done installing and test riding my ebr ecm on my 09 xb12ss. i have the breather re-route and a jardine exhaust. lots of decel popping pre-install, havent heard one after install. i am in the exact boat as Padave. i wanted simplicity and affordability and the local buell/hd dealer wanted 570.00 ish just for labor for the dyno tune and i had to pay for software and a cable too! so i took the 250.00 route and so far i am satisfied.

for those of you who have done it; i have noticed that my fan runs much more during riding and far less to not at all after shut off. do you notice this aswell? i think my bike/ecm may still be learning all itself as i only put 15 miles on it since instal.

my k & n filter is on the way and doing a open airbox mod next!

took mine out again and i noticed that one of the lines hanging down between the swing arm and the engine (would be connected to the carb, not sure what its called on efi) but anyways. when its running it drips fuel at approx a drop every min or so. not sure i like that. that and my fan runs pretty much the whole time until i am at a stop and then shuts off. not sure i like that either. anyone have any insight?

Sounds like the overflow/vent for the gas tank. Had that happen to me recently on a real hot day and sitting in traffic too much. Wasn't a big fan of it either, since its realllllly close to the exhaust outlet. Haven't had the chance to evaluate the options of re-routing it.
