Well...After modding my Ebay Oberon knock off bar end mirrors with rubber plugs I found that it just wasn't good enough so I looked around and found these on Ebay:

ODI aluminum bar end caps...they go for about $15 on Ebay

I have the Oberon Ebay knock off bar end mirrors that look like this:

Take the end piece and tape it up to protect the anodizing.

Cut of the tip so that about 1/8" is left. ***Wear gloves! The aluminum gets real hot as you cut it!

With a dremel tool with a cut-off wheel, modify the tip so that it mates with the ODI sloped pieces. File and clean up as needed.

It should fit like this. Make sure it sits straight.

Assemble using the ODI hardware. You may chose to use threadlocker to keep it from vibrating loose.

Insert into bars (mine are Renthals and they just fit).

Tighten & enjoy!

They seem to be very solid! Way better than anything else I've used in the past (sleeves, rubber, etc)

As in any DIY, attempt at your own risk! Enjoy!

Nice work Dro. I did your rubber stopper mod on mine and they worked perfect, except when trying to remove them, lol! I couldn't get the rubber stoppers out. Changed my bar to ultralows and have yet to re-do the rubber stopper. I'll give this a shot!

So these are completely stable, no spinning?

I can't say for sure as I just did it yesterday and haven't ridden but this is a much more solid method than the rubber stops. I have faith in it. ;)

Was just telling someone about this mod I did...6 months later and they're as tight as the day I installed them! ;) Highly recommended!

recently got the same style mirrors and only removed the larger diameter sleeve, they fit the bars with no mod to the bar end
