I'm going to drop a couple of my thoughts in this thread, real quick:
1. The EBR ECM has been tuned for one bike, in one location, on a dyno. Your bike is a different bike, in a different location, riding out in the real world. The difference in motorcycle and operating conditions has a HUGE impact on how the fueling and corrections parameters need to be set. I'm just going to assume you bought an ECM for your exact set of performance modifications, but if you didn't, then that's another big variable to throw into the mix.
2. If the ECM were faulty, your bike would be worse than before, or not work at all. The fact that there is no change in driveability tells me that the ECM works fine, it's just not right for your bike.
3. The reason that the ECM may have worked for others while it did not necessarily work for you is because it may have been better suited to their bike and their riding environment.
4. You're playing the classic chase game with the EBR ECMs: you'll send it back a few times to get it reflashed, and it will never suit your needs.
If you want improvements in performance, driveability, and engine life, you need to tune appropriately for your specific situation. To this end, you will need to use a program like TunerPro. I run a small, well-reviewed company that helps riders custom tune their motorcycles. You can check it out
