Okay, question for the ECM guru's on here. The DDFI-3 system on the 1125's, is there any capabilities of adding a second injector to the existing system? The new 1190's use a secondary shower head injector I am assuming for WOT activation and would be pretty sure that it is RPM triggered while at WOT. Has anyone tried to use a different Fuel Control System on these bikes? I see that there is a power commander system available for these bikes, does it interface with the stock DDFI? Has anyone ever tried to change the ignition maps of the ECM?

Thanks in advance for the time for responses.

I wanna know what it is youve been working on. Also interested in what comes of this Thread. There isnt many out there who tap into the 1125 Ecm. The people ti ask would be theoctopus and mike cobb from xoptiinside.

Yes, the DDFI3 ecms have showerhead injector capabilities and their operation is primarily controlled by a fuel table very similar to the stock fuel injectors. The fuel delivery is a function of engine load and rpm. You can access all of the parameters using Tunerpro.

hahaha crash. Only the shadow knows. Will post pic's and thread when I get further along. Still in design stage. Picked up spare engine from Cosworth and want to play. Either be fast as hell or a pretty paper weight, but either way is going to be expensive. Been paying down bills so I can play.

EricZ- long time admirer, first time caller. lol. Looking to use secondary injectors as WOT adders for mid range and higher. By chance know which pins on ECM would be drivers for secondary injectors ol buddy ol pal. lol. Thanks.

:D

Here's the 1190 injector setup if you hadn't seen it.

thanks Dean. I am designing new intake manifolds with provision for both injectors to be installed in the manifolds instead of shower head type secondaries. Tight fit, but doable so far according to CAD. You wouldn't by chance have a copy of the wiring diagram for the 1190 would you? :D

Ive used megasquirt on V8's and really liked it, Im currently running a lsx 5.3 in a 70 gto using megasquirt for injection and timing.

Megasquirt is a tad big for a motorcycle, you might look into microsquirt if you cant get the functionality out of your stock ECM.

I use these guys for all of my megasquirt parts https://www.diyautotune.com/
