Does anyone have instructions on how to use ECM Spy without screwing up your bike. Can I use the ECM that is currently on it i.e. stock? Or do I have to purchase the one that says, "For race use only"? Lastly, I need the map for a Jardine pipe that my bike has on. I have an 05 12s XB lightning. The help will be greatly appreciated. I judt did the breather mod and it works great.

Do some searching around on the forum, there's a lot of threads on how to use ECMSpy - use google's site search feature - type in "site:buellxb.com " and insert what you're searching for.

I just burned race maps on my 03 stock ecm with ecm spy and helped a friend do his 05 xb r and it worked great . From the research though everyone says the race maps may or may not help your situation . To me it was worth a try . Once I figured that it was all down hill . Whatever you do make sure you save your stock eeprom and also save your maps off of it . I did a step by step email that I sent to the guy I helped if you want to pm me your email I'll forward it to you .

Well it's been a while since the last time I posted here. I finally figured out how to reset my TPS without being scared $#!+ less of what I was doing. I did notice that my version of ECMSPY is very limited on what it can do. I can do basic stuff on there but as far as pulling eeproms I cannot. The same goes for saving it, loading maps, and all that other cool stuff. I believe I may have the demo version which you can still accomplish some things with it. Does anyone know where I can find the full version without paying stealership prices for it. Free would be best. Let me know. Thanks.
You have to change to "professional" mode in one of the tabs at the top of the program. Can't remember if it's "tools" or "settings" or "view" or what but one of the tabs at the top lets you choose three different settings, I think they are "basic/standard", "advanced", and "pro". pro gives you access to all that stuff.
