Yea... Delete that POS windows 8!!

I just converted from 8 down to 7 and couldn't be happier. Should have never bought a computer with 8 I the first place!

Now.... I'm not sure if it'll even work with 7 though. I use the wife's computer that has vista or XP, whatever was right before 7

right click the launch icon, choose properties, then compatibility mode

or...

1.
From Start, enter the name of the app you want to run in compatibility mode, and in the search results list, swipe down or right-click to select the app, and choose Open file location.

2.
In File Explorer, swipe down on the app or right-click it, and choose Properties.

3.
In the Properties dialog, choose the Compatibility tab.

4.
Select the compatibility mode and other options you want to apply, and then click OK.

How did you do this? Everything I've read online said you can't downgrade.

It was pretty easy. Just time consuming.

-Buy windows 7 (eBay $75 for Ultimate)
-Google some how-to videos..... (Where a damn teenager walks you through it all)
-Print out a full list of equipment / drivers on the computer as-is.
- download all the drivers for same equipment but for windows 7
(Found on the computers manufactures and brand of equipments website. IE- Toshiba or Sony and Realtek or Snaptiks or intel, etc...)
- at minimum make sure you have the driver for the touchpad/keyboard and your wifi card.
-load win7 and go through all those steps.
-setup new computer.
- see what's not working right and get the driver for it online
-done...
I did a complete wipe and all went well.

I just needed a regular computer. Win8 would be great for a tablet but I just needed a regular ole computer for my side business and win8 was giving me too many issue.

I can now print UPS labels and USPS international labels (win8 would never work, but did non-international labels okay)

Couldn't be happier with 7.
Shitty thing is I would have saved about $200 if I would have bought a BETTER computer with 7 versus the Toshiba I bought with 8.

Windows 8 update > version 8.1 comes out in october which will restore the start button and program list and will look the same as windows 7. I would just wait.
