I cant find my ERCM spy disk....I have all my info saved onto my computer, to include my fuel maps, but for some reason my computer dumped a part of the program, and it wont let me load up the ecm spy...and now I cant find my disk to to open up the program...any advice?

Pm me your email. It MUST be a Hotmail address, and I will email you it tomorrow.

So I've got the program, thank u, but I can't get the cable to read the com port...I know the cable is good because I've used it before...

Same problem here, can't get them talking!

Do you have the drivers installed?

I've followed the instructions to install the driver but just can't get them to communicate. I'm doing this on a company laptop so I'm wondering if there's an admin setting that's causing issues? I'm sure it's something simple, but kind of gave up on it for the time being to work on other stuff.

^not sure. I know I had difficulty getting mine to work/communicate, but eventually got it to work. I honestly don't even know that I knew what I did that made it work...

I wasn't able to get it to work with Windows 7. I bought a cheap refurbished $50 XP machine just for my garage and ECMspy. One thing I overlooked was the kill switch in the run position. This would be the first sharing of this embarrassing tidbit, but a useful reminder. The USB cable with the FTDI interface has driver disks that come with them, however I don't recall needing to install them on my PC.

^mine's xp as well. I don't recall messing with the kill/run switch. Maybe it'll come alive then. [up]

i checked the kill switch, thats fine, it just wont communicate....at one point i got it to find the com port when autodetecting, but then it still wouldnt communicate...
