Hi All,
I have been trying to update my ECM after an upgrade to a Hawk muffler and K&N air filter. I got updated maps from Randy. Here is a break down of what happens.
1. Fetch EEProm and save to my hard drive.
2. Load EEProm maps from Randy, it appears to load this with no problem
3. Click Burn EEProm, I receive the following error message "EEProm Data is not compatible to ECM!"
4. Exit ECMSpy does not ask me to save changes just closes.

I have talked with Randy @ Hawk Performance, he has never had anyone with this experience with his maps, Also talked with Sandro @ 5odro, he sent me a known good updated map and I have the exact same experience.
Just for reference I also recorded the following info.
1. from the EEProm tab after fetching EEProm
Firmware BUEI310
Calibration ID 106: P & A
2. Randy wondered about my SCMSpy Ver. it is V.1.12.26
3. ECM part number from barcoded sticker on ECM Y0152.3A8 07135
I live in the Pittsburgh area. Any help would be appreciated, the Hawk muffler has really improved the low end performance, hopefully by turning on the n0-fuel on decel check box, will eliminate the popping noise.
My primary concern is that I do not want to run lean and want to smooth out the mid range a bit.

Don't copy and burn a whole EEPROM, save the fuel map out of Randy's and then burn that into yours.

The EEPROM's firmware most likely aren't the same and there for you can't burn the whole thing.

So basically load the EEPROM but select "burn map" instead of "burn EEPROM?" Thanks!

Thanks Eric, and 5dro. I loaded the EEProm file from Randy and then went to the Maps tab and burned the
front fuel map and then the rear fuel map. Everything appeared to work correctly a progress bar then a pop-up window telling me to togle the ignition. Took the bike for a test ride, after closed-loop learn bike ran much better. I did check the box to cut-fuel on decel to eliminate popping but found that there was a stumble if you go off throttle then back on like trying to blip the throttle on a downshift. went back and un-checked that again and found with the new fuel maps that the decel pop is at an acceptable level.

I especially want to thank Sandro @ 5odro what a stand-up guy. I won't order parts again with-out checking with him first. For those that are not aware 5odro now carries Twin Motorcycle parts here in the US.What a great forum, thanks again to all.

You're very welcome! I'm glad you got it all worked out!

While we're plugging 5-0dro, I figured I'd mention that we are an ASV, GPR & Energy One Clutches Dealer now too besides the Twin Motorcycles parts and our own products. ;) if we can every help, we're just a PM/email/phone call away! If we don't have it, we can probably forward you to someone that does! :p
