Eliminate stock front turn signal locations

I removed the stock turn signals and installed a set of after-market mirrors that have built-in LED turn signals on my '05 XB12R. I installed a shoulder screw in the location where the stock turn signals were. This really cleans up the look of the front end, while actually improving the visibility of the turn signals. The mirrors are readily available on eBay - a pair cost under $45 shipped. Here are some pics:

Looks good. Always thought that was a good idea putting the turn signals up in the mirrors. How much wiring modification did you have to do? Or was stock sufficient?[cool]

Just bought some except mine were flipped, as in pointy side down, they were the same angle/profile though. Had to solder transistors onto the ends of the exposed wires, and drill a hole in the fairing to tuck the wires through, not too challenging for the diy'ers.

Only way I would be happier is if they were made in the USA for $50!!!

Are they any longer than the stock?

They are the same length as stock. Rear visibility is the same (no worse).

How much wiring modification did you have to do? Or was stock sufficient?

Stock wiring hooked right up - work was minimal - pretty much like 12R FIRE says above.
