Emulator Question

Hey folks. I need some help understanding the exhaust emulator. I did a search but didn't get the answer I was looking for. Does it just trick the system into thinking that the exhaust is stock so it doesn't flash a code? Also, is there any benefit to running the emulator with a stock exhaust? Thanks for the help.

In case you mean that plug for the XB12 exhaust valve motor cable................that is what it does...............as long as you block the cable so the valve is permanently open you have a bit more sound at low revs............but this results in a bit less talk at lower revs..............

People use it instead of going into the ecm to shut the the exhaust servo off so they can put after market exhaust on. ( yes so it does not throw codes ) If you have the stock exhaust I would leave it unless you are gutting it to make it a race exhaust.,then you can use the emulator
