Hey folks. I need some help understanding the exhaust emulator. I did a search but didn't get the answer I was looking for. Does it just trick the system into thinking that the exhaust is stock so it doesn't flash a code? Also, is there any benefit to running the emulator with a stock exhaust? Thanks for the help.

Thats all. You remove ur vaule and cable and plug this little guy in the plug port next to the battery and it grounds there. Just follow the emulator wire. After riding around with the exhaust valve just sitting there turing and doing whatever it does, I decided to purchase the emulator and I have no problems. Speaking of problems...
I have a little problem here. I bought a plug in play LED tail light for my 05 XB12. Got it off eBay for $35. I also bought the exhaust emulator and it works fine. After I installed the new LED, which is a nice looking light that consist of about 50 or so LED's, and powered up the Buell the light was BRIGHT. The light wasn't getting any brighter when I applied brake. I put back the original light bulb and now its bright. The running filiment is crazy bright and the brake filiment barley light up when I appy the front and rear brake. What the hey is going on? I checked the plugs/connectors for front and rear brake sensor thingies and they both are connected well. Does anybody know what the problem could be? Thanks, Jon
