Engine light on 07 Buell 12S

The engine light came on after a short ride to the gas station. I was wondering if there was anyone around the Melbourne, FL area that had ecmSpy that would help me figure out what its code is. Please PM if you can help.

My STT will flash a check engine light every once in a while and if I just check that it's plugged in tightly it'll go away. Give that a shot meebe

So I finally got my ECM cable in the mail... took over a week longer than expected to get here! But that is a whole different story. The problem I am having now is that when I run ECM Spy and try to read the trouble codes it says "reading Firmware version" Followed with "Failed to get Firmware version... exiting now" I am trying to read up on what might be the cause of this but if you have had this issue before and know what I need to do please let me know.
