I haven't seen anyone post about this so I thought I would Erik buell was on the motorcyclist radio podcast on December 3rd and talked about a variety of things. One the thing he did mention was that there will be a new affordable production bike next year. No release dates yet but it sounds promising. It's free on iTunes if you want to listen.

Great find, I will listen to it tonight[up]
I actually talked to Erik in person last Friday while me and other board members where there and he stated that there is a lot work done for more affordable bike to release but a lot if not more needs to be done. He didn't say anything about the time frame, approximate retail price or the dealers though. It's great news that we can expect something in the future.
