exhaust stud removal

has anyone else had major trouble pulling the exhaust studs? i managed to get the bottom one out but i cant get the top one out, ive tried pullers, locking nuts, heat, wd40 you name it

weld a nut on, turn it out, replace it with sportster studs?

remove the battery of course, that shouldnt damage any of the electrical system right? I will be using a standard wire welder

I know I'm comming off as an R-tard but I plan on tapping the holes when i get the stud pulled... are they meteric or standard?

5/16 standard

Disconnect battery, weld nut to stud, turn out stud, chase threads, turn in new stud.

Wire feed welder works fine.

Like there's not dozens of threads about the 1125 stator, the XB9 white wire mod or even the Brembo hidden brake components.

We were all new once, no need to be dicks about it.
