it escapes my mind what it is called, but there the cable on top of the intake cover is off im just wondering if this will cause me any problems and why he did it, the bike has a jardine rt one slip on on it

Because the servo is only needed for the factory exhaust due to exhaust regulations.

You will throw a code you will either have to tune it out with ECM spy are buy a servo emulator. Are just remove the cable totally and leave the servo on top of the air box still plugged in.

You can remove it if you have a Race ECM or a re-flashed stock ECM disabling the servo. If it's a stock ECM with stock maps, it'll throw a code on you if you remove it. There's a "How To" thread on tricking the ECM if you want it gone by using electronic gadgets (resistors? I dunno, I don't have a servo to worry about so I never read it) or do a re-flash using ECM Spy or Tuner Pro. Search!

What year model is your bike? If it's '07-earlier you can use the download above, buy a cable off of xoptiinside.com, and simply check "off" in the checkbox (Pic below) in the program; and pull the whole asmbly. off the airbox. That way it'll be permanent and you won't have to worry about the emulator (resistor thingy) going bad over time and throwing Check engine lights.
