hello, what dose the exhaust valve do?

the stock pipe has it and some aftermarket performance pipes have it like Termignoni...

cheers wise ones [cool]

cool, is it better than other designs like packing etc?

any one run the Termignoni on their buell?

I would think so. It's electronically controlled to provide additional "grunt" at specific RPM's and doesn't require maintenance.

sweet, cheers steve & lefox!

any one have, or knows some that has a Termignoni on there buell?

To be honest, I spend more time on these forums than I should and been doing that for a while now. I've never heard of Termignoni, let alone heard of someone with one on a Buell.

For those curious as I was about Termignoni, here's a link complete with dyno charts & pics: Termignoni Slip-On Exhaust
Here's a pic also. The XB12 stock actuator valve is utilized with this system, located in the elbow/header tube that you see pictured.

Here's the link: AmericanSportbike.com Just under the "Shop Here" link is a link called "XB Exhaust Shootout Test Report". Click and download this. In it you'll find plotted Dyno Runs, soundbytes, and reviews on some of the more popular exhausts out there. Very nice to have.
