I know there is much searchable information here, and believe me I have searched. And searched. And searched. I've got old ECMspy to work in MLV, but I want my Tunerpro log to work in MLV. I know you can change some things in the .csv file and make it work. That is what I want to know how to do. Any help is much appreciated!

Only a slight amount of editing is needed. To modify the Tunerpro exported .csv file to be compatible with MLV:
  1. Open the .csv file with a spreadsheet program (Excel, OpenOffice [a free program]), or use notepad if another program is not available
  2. Delete row 3
  3. Add any text value to cell A2 (ex: "Record")
  4. DDFI-1/2 only:
    • Find the header cell named "TPS 8Bit"
    • Copy the entire column and paste to a new column (location doesn't matter)
    • Rename the new column cell from "TPS 8Bit" to "Load"
  5. THIS STEP IS OPTIONAL
    • Search for the cell containing text "EGO Corr." and replace with text "Gego"
    • NOTE: The value "Gego" must be entered exactly as listed: Capital 'G', little 'ego'.
    • Alternatively, rather than replacing "EGO Corr." with "Gego", you can copy/paste the entire "EGO Corr." column into a new column and then rename that column "Gego".
  6. Save and close the log file
Done.

Background
By default, the MLV VE Analyzer function looks for a cell named "Gego" in the log file to determine what EGO Corrections the ECM made based on O2 sensor feedback. If "Gego" is not found, a pop-up message will be displayed stating such. However, this pop-up can simply be acknowledged and you can then choose the proper field for EGO corrections.

- For all Buell models with only one O2 sensor, the "EGO Correction Field" in VE Analyzer should be set to "EGO Corr." when analyzing both front (veBins1) and rear (veBins2) fuel maps. Or, if you followed step 5 above, choose "Gego".

- For Buell models with two O2 sensors (1125 and 2010 XB), the "EGO Correction Field" in VE Analyzer should be set to "EGO1 Corr." when analyzing the front fuel map (veBins1), and "EGO Corr." when analyzing the rear fuel maps (veBins2).

I hope this helps!

So, if we have a front 02 bung on an older XB, and want to run VE analyzer for front would changing cell name to 'EGO1 Corr' allow this ?

Ok, so I did exactly as described, using Megalog Viewer MS lite works with the old ECMspy, not with the tunerpro log. MLV tells me unknown file type. Does this mean I need to use the HD version? I'll have no problem shelling out $40 bucks to do it, but I don't want to buy it to find the same problem.

Update: I just had an email conversation with a guy at EFIanalytics who recommended I download HD lite. The log loaded and played but no tune file was available. He then mentioned he didn't think TunerPro tune files (essentially maps) would work with MegalogViewer. Anyone know if this VE Analyizer actually works with TunerPro RT? Without loading a "tune file" the whole point of buying the program in null.

Onetuford,

I've been using Mega Log Viewer MS without an issue. What you need to have in order to load the tune file is the software XPR map extractor which can be found here: http://www.buelltooth.com/uploads/5/8/3/5/58359505/xprfuelmapextractor.exe

You gotta load the XDF file (v4 not v5) and the eeprom from which you want the maps and voila, fuel maps appear in the lower screen. Than you just save it as MLV format and open the file together with the log file you recorded.
